ELECTRONIC SERVICES AND CLASSIFIEDS TERMS

World Marketplace Terms of Service

These Terms govern the use of World Marketplace, the submission and moderation of listings, offer alerts and notices concerning illegal content.

Version 1.0 · effective 20 September 2026

1. Operator and contact

World Marketplace (the “Service”), available at world-marketplace.com, is operated by:

World Marketplace
world-marketplace.com

Users, public authorities and notices concerning illegal content are handled through the secure contact form. Communication is available in Polish and English.

2. Nature of the Service

World Marketplace hosts moderated classifieds across all lawful categories permitted by these Terms. The Service does not provide checkout, escrow, payment or delivery. The Operator is not the seller, buyer, broker, representative or a party to transactions between Users; negotiations and transactions take place outside the Service at the parties’ own risk.

3. Services and fees

The Service allows Users to browse, search and filter listings; submit listings for moderation; access contact options; store watched or compared offers locally; and receive voluntary, confirmed email alerts.

Basic use and standard listings are currently free. Any promotional, advertising or additional service is ordered separately, with its price and scope disclosed before an order is placed. Advertising and promoted listings are labelled.

4. Formation and termination

The browsing agreement starts when a User begins using the Service and ends when they leave. A listing service agreement is formed after the form is submitted, these Terms are accepted and the Operator accepts the listing for publication. Submission does not guarantee publication.

An Advertiser may request correction, deactivation or removal by emailing the Operator and identifying the listing. Alerts can be cancelled using the unsubscribe link in every message. The Operator may end a service in accordance with the moderation rules below.

5. Technical requirements and security

Use requires an internet-connected device and a current browser supporting HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and TLS; forms and alerts also require an active email address. Forms may be protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Disabling JavaScript, essential cookies or security controls may limit functionality.

Users must not bypass security, scrape data at scale without permission, disrupt the Service, impersonate others, introduce malicious code or use contact data for spam or unsolicited marketing.

6. Listing rules

Advertisers must be at least 18 and authorised to dispose of the subject of the listing. Information must be truthful, current and complete, including actual condition, price or pricing method, location, material defects, rights to photographs, and whether the seller is a trader or a private person. Traders remain responsible for legally required information about themselves, products, safety, taxes, warranties, consumer rights and delivery.

One listing should cover one clearly identified offer. Duplicate listings, keyword stuffing, false prices, misleading categories, ranking manipulation and unlawful disclosure of another person’s data are prohibited.

7. Prohibited content and products

Illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, discriminatory or privacy-infringing content and content violating intellectual property or other third-party rights is prohibited. This includes stolen or counterfeit goods, prohibited weapons, unsafe or recalled products, illegal waste or shipments, controlled substances, access credentials and services intended to evade the law.

Waste, dangerous materials, pressure or electrical equipment and regulated products may be listed only by authorised entities and with the information, documents and permits required in the countries of offer, transport and delivery.

Erotic or pornographic content, sexual or escort services, dating, personal-contact and matrimonial listings are not permitted.

8. Moderation, ranking and decisions

Listings may be reviewed before and after publication. Where required by law, safety, these Terms, a credible notice or User protection, the Operator may reject, recategorise, correct obvious technical or language errors, reduce visibility, label, suspend or remove a listing, or restrict access. The Operator has no general obligation to monitor all content.

Default ranking takes account of selected filters, publication status and publication or update time. Users may select available sorting such as recency, popularity or price. Paid promotion, if introduced, will be labelled and may affect ranking.

Where contact details are available and notice is lawful, the Operator will explain a content restriction and the available appeal route. Appeals may be emailed within six months of the decision.

9. Reporting illegal content

Anyone may report suspected illegal content through the reporting form. A notice should include the exact listing URL, a reasoned explanation and legal basis, supporting information, the notifier’s name and email (except where the law permits omission for specified child sexual abuse offences), and a good-faith statement.

The Operator acknowledges electronic notices and handles them promptly, objectively and proportionately. Additional information may be requested. Repeated manifestly unfounded notices or repeated illegal content may result in temporary restrictions after a prior warning where appropriate.

10. Transactions and User responsibility

Before a transaction, Users should verify the counterparty’s identity and authority, title, technical and legal condition, documentation, conformity, safety, taxes, customs, sanctions, permits, payment, transport and collection. Inspection, testing, a written contract and secure payment are strongly recommended for used machinery.

The Advertiser is responsible for the listing and performance of the resulting contract. Consumer protection applicable to purchases from traders may not apply where a private individual is the seller. The Operator does not guarantee a transaction, solvency, quality, legality, safety or availability.

11. Rights in content

Advertisers retain their rights and confirm they may use submitted content. They grant the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence for the publication period and a necessary technical wind-down period to host, reproduce, publicly display, format, crop, create thumbnails and translate content as needed to operate, secure and promote the Service and the listing.

World Marketplace marks, layout, code and original materials are protected. Use of the Service transfers no rights beyond the limited right of ordinary use.

12. Liability and availability

The Operator uses reasonable care but does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, security measures and feature changes may occur. To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for User content, agreements between Users, indirect loss, lost profits, third-party acts or events outside its reasonable control.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or mandatory consumer rights. External links do not make the Operator responsible for third-party services or content.

13. Personal data, cookies and alerts

Personal data is handled under the privacy and cookie information available in the Service. Form data is used for moderation, publication, contact and abuse prevention. Data necessary to perform a service is not processed on the basis of marketing consent.

Offer alerts require email confirmation. Consent to other marketing is voluntary, separate and may be withdrawn without affecting prior lawful processing.

14. Complaints

Complaints about electronic services may be submitted through the contact form and should state contact details, the issue, date and requested solution. The Operator replies without undue delay, normally within 14 days. If more information is required, the period runs from receipt of that information.

Consumers may use applicable out-of-court dispute procedures in their country. These Terms do not restrict access to a court or mandatory statutory rights.

15. Governing law and changes

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the use of the Service, including non-contractual disputes or claims, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. For Users acting in the course of business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. A consumer may nevertheless bring proceedings in any court available under mandatory law and retains any protection that cannot be excluded by agreement under the law of the country of their habitual residence.

The Operator may amend these Terms for a valid reason, including legal, functional, security, service-model or company-detail changes. Material changes affecting an ongoing service will be announced in advance in the Service or through the User’s contact details. One-off use is governed by the version made available when the agreement is formed.

The English text is the primary and controlling version. Translations are provided for convenience and do not limit any mandatory rights of Users. If one provision is invalid, the remainder continues to apply.
